MY first vw since 1971 beetle. Great price, very happy with the Passat. very roomy interior and trunk. Handles great for a large sedan. 2 years old no problems, fast, and 30mpg or better every tank. Buy it. Pretty soon vw will have a better value as they get older, but the price at the beginning will help you. Very happy with the Passat.
  • One of my favorite all purpose vehicles!

Ive owned over 25 new cars in my life time. including BMWs, MBs,Saabs. Volvo, 944, RX-7, and various other domestics. Without a doubt, This Passat R-Line is one of the most satisfying cars Ive had the pleasure to own. Only one objection: The 19 in. Wheels/tires are Extremely vulnerable to damage and hard riding but handles nicely. This 1.8 T engine could use a little more guts, but adequate for getting on the expressway. Great interior space. Enjoy your ride!

I had a 2018 passat- as a replacement car for a 2015 Jetta Hybrid that wouldnt work... At first I loved the Passat. This car had all the features your would expect in a high end car but without that price. Anything you could think of, it had. Park Assist, amazing sound system!, heated rear seat. The inside of this car is great. However, at around 900 miles the EPC warning light came on - as I was entering a major highway. The engine then restricted how fas I could go- to protect the car. Think it stopped me around 55. I kept driving at the direction of the service dept at my dealer. Brought to the dealer and they had to replace an electronic throttle sensor ( or something close to that...) Based on the fact that my last vw had so many issues ( I had a loaner car for approx 4 months! and 2 transmissions) and the Passat was a replacement for the car didnt work- and it broke with less than a thousand miles, I had to end it. As soon as I got it back from the dealer I sold it to another dealer. It most likely was a total fluke- but come on, a new car should not have problems with only 900 miles on it. There was no way I was going to be able to trust this car.
